There’s No Doubt About PEPFAR’s Lifesaving Impact

For more than 20 years, the U.S. has been a global leader in addressing the AIDS epidemic. Through President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and contributions to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the U.S. has helped to achieve incredible progress and more than 25 million lives saved.

Yet, HIV/AIDS continues to extract an unacceptable cost; every single minute, someone dies from AIDS-related causes. The world cannot afford to slow down on efforts to end the epidemic as a public health threat. U.S. leadership, and continued support of PEPFAR, is essential to meeting our collective goal of ending HIV/AIDS as a public health threat.
